Group: Dare to Dream

The 2009 Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival begins the first of July, taking over the city for 12 days of action. The yearly festival is a feast of small and large-scale theatre productions from artists of all levels of acclaim. Many plays and shows go on to great success on a grander scale.

A KidsVenue presents eight plays for young people and families. Chosen via lottery, the Toronto Fringe Festival presents a number of contests and associated events, including a beer tent, two outdoor patios and a free nightly cabaret.

The 2008 Toronto Fringe Festival showed the work of around 800 international artists. With over 148 productions, the 2008 Fringe shared all sorts of theatrics ranging from improv to musicals, dramas and more.
